turbidity

i woke up this morning wishing it was today.
the summer on the fresh waters of wappapello.
water moccassins sliding and hissing.
oars dropping and wishing.
and i'd be happy when i find myself drowning.

drowning,
drown and breathe beneath the algae green..........
where the creatures sleeping deep in the dimly lit cove
waiting for me.
waitng for my clumsy breath.
wrap your webbed hands around me and take me down ... show me your world of murky glow.

i'd belong there.
where i've never been.
calm sunlight quietly cruising.
wicked moonlight sparkles without choosing.
the creatures waiting for the wake.
waiting for me to drown.
